The Central Connecticut men's basketball team returns to action on Thursday night against Fairleigh Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. The game is sponsored by Achieve Financial for Student Appreciation Day. Students will have the chance to register for the chance to win a $500 scholarship during a halftime contest sponsored by the U.S. Army. The evening will get started 90 minutes prior to game time with DJ Montez playing music to get fans ready for the game.
Tickets for CCSU home games can be purchased at CCSUTickets.com or at the box office upon entry to Kaiser Hall and Detrick Gymnasium. Admission for all CCSU students, faculty and staff is free of charge with a valid Blue Chip card.

SERIES HISTORY • The Blue Devils and Knights are meeting for the 43rd time overall and second time this season. FDU has won the last seven meetings, including an 81-77 win on Jan. 4 at FDU.
LAST TIME OUT • CCSU downed Bryant, 80-76, on Saturday at Detrick Gymnasium to end a four-game skid. The Blue Devils blocked a season-high eight shots and got a double-double from junior

The Blue Devils built a double-digit lead in the first half after holding Bryant without a field goal for nearly six minutes, but Bryant would manage to take a 33-32 lead with 1:40 to go in the half. A jumper by Kohl would give CCSU a 34-33 lead at halftime and the Blue Devils would hold Bryant without a field goal for over five minutes and pushed the lead back to 54-44 with 12:24 to play. CCSU would take its largest lead at 63-49, before the Bulldogs would outscore CCSU, 17-6, over a six-minute span to get within 69-66. Central would answer with a jumper from Kohl and the Bulldogs never got closer. CCSU went 4-for-4 from the foul line in the final 16 seconds and Bryant hit a three-pointer just before the buzzer for the final score.
KOHL EARNS NEC PRIME PERFORMER NOD • It was an outstanding all-around week for Kohl, who recorded 26.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg and 3.5 apg while shooting 58.3 percent from the floor for the Blue Devils. He netted a career-high 28 points at St. Francis Brooklyn, then recorded his third double-double of the season with 25 points and 11 boards in CCSU's 80-76 victory over Bryant.
UP NEXT • Central closes out a stretch of three straight home games when it hosts LIU Brooklyn on Saturday in a CCSU basketball doubleheader. The men's game will tip off following the women's contest against St. Francis Brooklyn.
