Series Notes:
Food Item Collection • CCSU athletics will be collecting non-perishable food items at tonight's basketball game to be donated to the Friendship Service Center of New Britain. Fans attending the game are encouraged to donate items such as canned goods, coffee, sugar and pasta, as CCSU athlatics will be collecting the donated items to be given to the Friendship Service Center of New Britain in an effort to share during the holiday season and think of those who are less fortunate.
Ross Added To Staff • Donyell Marshall announced the addition of Anthony Ross to his staff as an assistant coach. Ross comes to CCSU after serving as an assistant at East Stroudsburg University, his alma mater, last season. ESU went 21-7 and advanced to the PSAC Quarterfinals with him on staff. Ross was the head coach at Penn State-Lehigh Valley for three seasons and was an assistant at Moravian College prior to that. He replaces Obie Nwadike who took a job with the NBA in China just before the season.
Last Time Out • CCSU fell at Binghamton, 72-70, on Nov. 16 at the Events Center. The Blue Devils erased a six-point deficit in the second half to take a late lead before a Bearcats three-pointer provided the difference in the contest.
