Men's Basketball Faces Binghamton on ESPN3 Wednesday Night
The Blue Devils play their second straight road game and their second America East foe of the season.

Central Connecticut faces Binghamton on Wednseday night in men's basketball. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN3. The Blue Devils are 1-1 on the year and are playing their second straight road game after falling at Seton Hall, 82-58, on Sunday. The Bearcats are also 1-1 after falling at St. John's, 77-61, on Monday night.
Bruce Biel (play-by-play) and Marc Robbins (analyst) will call the game for CCSU on News Radio 1410.

Season Openers • Donyell Marshall won his first game in charge of Central Connecticut with a 75-60 win over Hartford in the season opener. Central opened its season against Hartford for the second straight season. The Blue Devils fell, 92-83, in double-overtime to the Hawks in 2015-16's opener in the CT6. All-time in Division I the Blue Devils are 14-17 in season openers. CCSU is 3-1 against the Hawks in season-openers all-time.
Next Up • Central goes home for two of the next three games. The Blue Devils host Penn on Nov. 22 and Brown on Dec. 3 with a trip to Maine on Nov. 30 in between. CCSU will play seven straight road games from Dec. 6 through Dec. 31. The Blue Devils open Northeast Conference action on Dec. 29 and Dec. 31 with road games at Wagner and St. Francis Brooklyn, respectively.
Last Time Out • Central Connecticut fell to Seton Hall, 82-58, on Sunday at the Prudential Center. CCSU had two players in double-figures and committed just nine turnovers, but had its record slip to 1-1 on the season. SHU improved to 2-0.
Junior Mustafa Jones led the Blue Devils with 11 points and freshman Tyson Batiste had 10 points and five rebounds. Senior Tafari Whittingham and sophomore Austin Nehls each had nine points, while senior Tidell Pierre added eight points.
Central shot 36.1 percent (22-of-61) for the game and finished with 11 assists against just nine turnovers.
After an early basket by Batiste tied the game, 2-2, Seton Hall held the Blue Devils without a field goal over an 11:06 span to take control of the game. The Pirates scored 15 straight at one point to go ahead 17-2.
Seton Hall would push the lead out to 26-4 before a layup by Whittingham with 8:10 left in the half snapped the field goal drought.
The Blue Devils were able to regroup before the break and Nehls had five straight points for CCSU at the end of the half. A basket by Seton Hall just before the halftime buzzer made it 44-25 at the break.
Jones went on a personal 9-2 run early in the second half to help CCSU trim the deficit. His three-point play with 13:55 to play made it 55-41.
After a layup by sophomore Eric Bowles made it 57-43, Seton Hall came back with seven straight points capped by a three-pointer by Myles Powell. The Blue Devils got no closer than 17 points the rest of the way.
Seton Hall shot 50.9 percent (29-of-57) for the game. Angel Delgado finished with 14 points and 16 rebounds, while Khadeen Carrington had a game-high 18 points.
