CPTV Sports to Air Men's and Women's Basketball in January and February
The Blue Devils will appear on CPTV sports seven times in the next two months
The Central Connecticut Department of Athletics announced today that the Blue Devils have reached an agreement with CPTV Sports to televise seven basketball games in January and February of 2013.
Five men's games and two women's games will be televised live on CPTV Sports, and will be available throughout Connecticut.
"We are excited to once again partner with CPTV Sports for the second straight year," Director of Athletics Paul Schlickmann said on Monday. "CPTV Sports provides us the opportunity to extend and enhance our reach to our fans throughout the state of Connecticut. We received tremendous feedback last season when we teamed up with CPTV Sports for seven broadcasts, and we are looking forward to seven more in the next two months. This is a great chance for all of the alumni in the state to watch our basketball teams perform during conference play."
The first televised game will take place this Thursday night, January 10, as the men's team returns to Northeast Conference action and hosts Sacred Heart at 7 p.m. A total of five men's games and two women's games will be televised, including the doubleheader vs. Bryant University on Saturday, January 12.
CPTV Sports is Connecticut's only 24-hour local sports network, covering statewide high school sports, college match-ups, professional sports competitions and more. Launched on November 1, 2011, CPTV Sports is available on Comcast channel 966, Cox channel 805, Cablevision channel 139, Charter channel 223, MetroCast channel 418 and Thames Valley Communications channel 87.
