Football Falls At Duquesne
Jenner had 15 completions and a 17-yard touchdown run for the Blue Devils
The Central Connecticut State football team was unable to overcome an efficient first quarter from Northeast Conference foe Duquesne on Saturday afternoon.
The CCSU defense had two take-aways in the game, with an interception and a fumble recovery.

- Taz Butts caught a two-yard pass from Darius Perrantes on the Dukes first drive, to put Duquesne in front 7-0 after a 49-yard drive
- Jack Barnum knocked home a 44-yard field goal with 6:22 to ply in the first quarter, capping a 10-play drive
- Butts answered for the Dukes two plays later, with a 15-yard touchdown run for the 14-3 advantage
- The Blue Devils stopped Duquesne and had an apparent blocked punt that was erased by an offsides call and three plays later Perrantes found Tedy Afful from 13 yards out for a 20-3 lead late in the opening quarter
- Harold Miles III turned the Dukes away midway through the second quarter, intercepting a pass on the five-yard line
- After recovering his own fumble on first down, Butts went 58 yards on second down for his third touchdown of the first-half and a 27-3 Duquesne lead with 6:05 left in the second quarter
- On the reverse, Jenner got the ball back and found Jadd Dolegala in the end zone for a 27-yard touchdown to cap a nine-play drive with 2:09 to play in the half
- Jayden Anderson kept the deficit 17 points with a big sack to end the first-half
- Duquesne took the opening drive of the second half and scored on a five-yard touchdown pass for Perrantes to Darryl Powell, Jr for a 34-10 lead
- Kimal Clark brought down Logan Lutz short of the first down to stop the Dukes drive with 5:45 to play in the third quarter
- Clark forced a fumble with 4:56 to play in the third quarter that was recovered by K Hernandez who returned the ball to the Duquesne 44-yard line
- Barnum kicked a 32-yard field goal following the takeaway
- Duquesne needed four plays to answer, with a JaMario Clements 26 yard run for a 41-13 advantage
- Jenner scored on a 17-yard run with 10:51 to play, finishing off a 14-play, 75-yard drive for the Blue Devils
