Manzanares, Cann Named to ECAC Postseason Squads
Pair of Blue Devils earn honors after record-breaking season for CCSU football
Seniors Seth Manzanares and Jarrod Cann were named to the All-ECAC FCS Football Team on Thursday, it was announced by the ECAC office. Manzanares was named to the First Team and Cann was named to the Second Team. Both players were named All-Northeast Conference earlier this year. Cann was also named to the All-New England squad last week.
Manzanares finished sixth on the team in tackles with 66 on the year, posting 33 unassisted and a team-high 5.5 sacks. His 11.5 tackles for a loss also led the team. He had one interception on the year, returning it for a touchdown in the home victory over Walsh on September 23. He finished his career with a career-high 14 tackles, two sacks and three tackles for a loss in the playoff loss at New Hampshire.
Cann finished third on the team in tackles with 75 and led the team in interceptions with four on the year. He picked off a pair of passes in a win at Sacred Heart earlier this year and returned one for a touchdown.
