Baseball Falls to Northeastern on Wednesday
The Central Connecticut baseball team fell to Northeastern, 12-5, on Wednesday in a midweek contest at CCSU Baseball Field. The Huskies would take advantage of pushing across early runs in the first and second innings to keep the Blue Devils at bay.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Huskies scored seven runs in the opening two innings, hitting a pair of home runs, to build an early lead. Harrison Feinberg hit a two-run homerun in the first to make it 2-0. Central would get a run back in the bottom of the frame after Chris Brown hit a sacrifice fly to make it 2-1.
- In the second, Northeastern pushed across five runs. Carmelo Musacchia led off with a homerun before a pair of errors helped the Huskies push across four more runs in the inning to make it 7-1.
- In the bottom of the third, Aidan Redahan hit a two-out double and scored on a two-bagger by Brown.
- Northeastern would put the first two runners on in the fourth and a sac fly by Feinberg scored one run and a single by Alex Lane added another.
- After the Huskies scored a run on a wild pitch in the top of the seventh, CCSU answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning. Central would load the bases with no outs and scored a run on a fielder's choice by Brandon O'Neill. A groundout by Antonio Ducatelli drove in another run to make it, 10-4.
- In the top of the ninth Northeastern tacked on two runs. In the bottom of the inning, Louis Jordan and O'Neill hit back-to-back singles with one out. A single by Chris Barkasy drove in a run, before a walk would load the bases with one out. The Huskies would end the game with a double-play.
NOTES
- Redahan collected three hits and has reached base in all 23 games this season.
- Brown drove in two runs and now has 30 RBIs on the season.
- Brock Pare started for CCSU and posted three strikeouts and was charged with three earned runs.
- Central has collected 10+ hits in 17 straight games as a team.
- Northeastern leads the all-time series, 25-11.
