The teams will meet for a doubleheader on Saturday to conclude the weekend series. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.

KEY MOMENTS
- Coppin State scored a run in the top of the first before the Blue Devils pushed across a run in the bottom of the inning. Hunter Pasqualini beat out a bunt for a single and then stole second base. With two outs, Danny Rogers doubled to right field to drive in Pasqualini and tie the game, 1-1.
- The Eagles regained the lead with a two-out homerun from Mike Dorcean in the third inning. That would be all the support Marcos Herrand would need as he scattered nine hits, while recording nine strikeouts across 8.0 innings of work.
- CSU tacked on three runs in the eighth and ninth innings for insurance. Angel Colon and Nicholas Burdette each drove in a run in the top of the eighth, while Brody Black singled home a run in the ninth. Rashad Ruff closed out his third game of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.
NOTES
- The teams were meeting for the first time since 1991. The all-time series is tied 3-3.
- Dominic Niman suffered his first loss of the season, despite allowing just two runs on seven hits in 6.0 innings of work. He struck out six to slip to 7-1 on the year.
- Pasqualini had two hits and two stolen bases, while scoring the lone CCSU run in the game.
- Dan Hussey and Jimmy Sullivan each added two hits, while Elliot Good singled in his first at bat to extend his hitting streak to 14 games.
