Epps and Allaire Continue to Earn Post-Season Honors, Named ECAC All-Stars
The post-season honors continue to roll in for a pair of Blue Devils in 2010. Senior Sean Allaire and junior Pat Epps were named ECAC Division I All-Stars on Tuesday. Both players were named to the First Team. Epps earned the honor in the outfield while Allaire earned the nod as a utility player. Both players also earned First Team All-Conference and First Team All-New England honors this season. The Blue Devils won the 2010 Northeast Conference Championship last month, the fourth title for the Blue Devils since 2002.

Epps were named ECAC Division I All-Stars on Tuesday. Both
players were named to the First Team. Epps earned the honor in the
outfield while Allaire earned the nod as a utility player. Both
players also earned First Team All-Conference and First Team
All-New England honors this season. The Blue Devils won the 2010
Northeast Conference Championship last month, the fourth title for
the Blue Devils since 2002.
Allaire was named the 2010 NEC Player of the Year this season, and
led the team with a .426 average, while matching the school-record
with 100 hits in his senior campaign. His season was nothing short
of spectacular. His 100 hits included a school-record 22 doubles,
six triples, 13 home runs and 73 RBI. His RBI total tied for the
team-lead with Epps and is a new school-record.
Epps was named the 2010 NEC Tournament Most Valuable Player, after
batting .556 with 10 hits in 18 at-bats in the NEC Tournament. On
the season he finished second on the team in hitting at .418 with
92 hits, 14 doubles, a school-record 18 home runs and the 73 RBI.
His 92 hits are the third-highest single season total in school
history. His on-base percentage of .506 led the team, as did his
34 walks. He led the team with 66 runs scored, followed closely
behind by Allaire who had 65.
Epps and Allaire were the cornerstones of a solid offensive year
for the Blue Devils. In all, five players are batting at least
.366 and all five have 74 or more hits in the 56 games. The Blue
Devils hit .341 as a team, which is a new school-record. They
scored a school-record 472 runs while hitting a school-record 70
home runs. Three players have hit 10 or more home runs, including
Epps, Allaire and senior Tommy
Meade (10).
