Volleyball to Collect School Supply Donations at Feb. 24 Basketball Doubleheader
The school supplies drive will be held on February 24 at the basketball doubleheader.
The Central Connecticut volleyball team will be collecting school supplies on Saturday, February 24, to benefit Smalley Academy in New Britain. The team will be collecting donations in the lobby of Kaiser Hall as fans enter the basketball games.
The drive is being held as part of the CCSU basketball doubleheader that day. The women's team plays Saint Francis U at 1:00 p.m., with the men playing St. Francis Brooklyn at 3:30 p.m.
The volleyball team is collecting the school supplies in an effort to help replenish supplies at Smalley Academy and make the school year easier for the students and teachers. Any donation is welcome, but supplies such as glue sticks, pens, crayons, notebooks, erasers, colored pencils, markers, dry erasers, folders and scissors are especially helpful.
In addition to the volleyball team, the event is being sponsored by California Pizza Kitchen.
