Northeast Conference Announces 2017-18 Basketball Television Schedule
The Blue Devils' men's and women's teams will have a combined three games televised.
The Northeast Conference announced its 2017-18 basketball television package on Wednesday and the Central Connecticut men's and women's basketball teams will have three combined games air on national televistion during the season. The league will have an all-time high 27 games receive national exposure on ESPN/CBS platforms during the season. The league's television slate will include 12 women's games, the most in conference history. A total of eight NEC Tournament games will be televised in March, which will match a league-record.

The league will have 22 games televised on ESPN platforms and five more will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network, a record-high for the league. The league will have 18 of its games carried on ESPN3 this season, all of which will also air on NEC Front Row. ESPN3 is the networks live multi-screen sports network that is accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and streaming devices through the ESPN App to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.
CCSU's men's team will make its first NEC TV appearance of the season on Thursday, January 25, when they travel to Bryant. The 7:00 p.m. game will air on ESPN3. The Blue Devils will host a basketball doubleheader for television on Saturday, February 10. The CCSU women will face Bryant at 1:00 p.m. in a game to air on ESPN3. The men will host Sacred Heart in a 4:00 p.m. tipoff, also airing on ESPN3.
The league package includes both of the NEC men's semifinal games being carried on ESPN3 on Saturday, March 3. The first semifinal will tip at 12:00 p.m., followed by the other matchup at 2:00 p.m. The NEC men's championship will air on ESPN or ESPN2 at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6.
The women's NEC tournament will have a pair of women's quarterfinal matchups televised on ESPN3. This year, the top two teams in the regular-season standings will each host a four-team pod for the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds. The 1 vs. 8 game and the 4 vs. 5 matchups on Wednesday, March 7, will both be shown, in addition to both semifinal contests being broadcast on ESPN3 on Thursday, March 8. The women's NEC championship game will be televised by ESPNU at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11.

CCSU's men's basketball squad will host Nyack College in an exhibition on Thursday, Nov. 2, at Detrick Gymnasium. The Blue Devils will open the regular season at Hartford on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
The Blue Devils' women's team opens the season at West Virginia on Friday, Nov. 10. The team's home-opener will be against Brown on Thursday, Nov. 16.
