Men & Women's Cross Country Named to 2016 USTFCCCA Scholar Teams of the Year
The Central Connecticut men & women's cross country teams were honored for their academic excellence by the USTCCA.
The Central Connecticut men & women's cross country teams were honored for their academic excellence by the USTFCCCA on Friday. Both groups were named to the NCAA Division I All-Academic Teams for the 2016 season.
The women achieved an cumulative GPA of 3.31, and the men combined for a 3.25 GPA. There were a total of 431 Division I schools that recieved this award for having a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), including 242 women's and 189 men's teams.
The top GPA for women's cross country belonged to Georgia State Univeristy (3.85), and Bowling Green State University (3.71) claimed the men's highest combined scores.
