Soccer Field

The CCSU Soccer Field opened in 2012 prior to the 2012 men's and women's soccer seasons. The new field features state-of-the-art field turf and includes new seating for over 1,000 fans. On September 18, 2015 when the women's team hosted instate rival Connecticut, the largest attendance ever was recorded at the new field as the two teams played in front of 2,514 fans. The field is surrounded by the new CCSU Track and features a lofted press box that presides over both.

The first game played on the CCSU Soccer Field was the men's season-opener against Yale on August 31, 2012. The men pulled out a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs. In their first season on the field, the men posted a 4-2-1 record at home and an 8-8-1 overall season record. They finished fourth in the Northeast Conference with a 6-3-1 league record.

The women's team played its first home game at the CCSU Soccer Field on September 2, 2012 against the Providence Friars. Now entering their fifth year on the new field the women's team has posted an 18-12-5 record at home, including a 7-1-3 mark at home during the 2014 campaign where the Blue Devils went on to win their eighth Northeast Conference Championship in program history.

Between both the men's and women's teams, the Blue Devils carry a record of 32-25-8 on the new CCSU Soccer Field over the past four seasons. Both teams have earned impressive team and individual accolades over that span with the women's team winning the NEC Championship in 2014 and the men's team boasting the 2012 NEC Men's Soccer Player of the Year in Reece Wilson. The men's team also hosted the 2013 NEC Tournament as they were the top seed by virtue of going 6-1 in league play that season, while the women's team has had a NEC Player of the Year, two NEC Defensive Player's of the Year, three NEC Goalkeepers of the Year and a NEC Rookie of the Year since the 2012 season.
